Certosa di Padula Excursion

At the selected time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ascea. We'll travel by bus to Certosa di Padula, a notable Baroque monumental complex in southern Italy.

Upon arrival, you'll notice the impressive size of this monastery, officially known as Certosa di San Lorenzo, which ranks second in size only to the Grande Chartreuse of Grenoble in France.

After admiring the Baroque façade, we will explore the religious complex, including the church, chapels of the Carthusian monastery, the Capitolio room, the library with a Vietrese ceramic tiled floor, and the refectory, reflecting the Carthusian monks' essence.

We will also visit the Great Cloister of the Padula Charterhouse, covering 15,000 square meters, recognized as the largest cloister in the world.

At the end of the visit, we'll return to Ascea and take you back to your hotel, concluding this four-hour excursion.
