Cilento Coast Hike

Follow in the footsteps of famous archaeologists on our Cilento Coast Hike, accompanied by the scent of the fragrant Ginestra del Cilento flower.

Cilento Coast Hike

At 9 am, we'll meet in front of the Ascea Railway Station and begin our hike along the Cilento Coast in the Campania region, known for its coastline between the gulfs of Salerno and Policastro and designated as a World Heritage Site.

We will traverse paths frequented by prestigious archaeologists, including François Lenormant, in search of historical ruins, including the Telegraph Tower, which dates back to the 16th century.

As we walk, we will enjoy the intoxicating scent of ginestra cilentina, a flower characteristic of this region. The flowers will accompany us as we navigate through tunnels carved into cliffs and discover hidden coves.

During our hike, we will ascend to the Piano della Torre peak, where we can appreciate panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

We will conclude our hike and return to Ascea by 12 noon.
