Ever wonder what lurks in the dark? If so, this Asheville Ghost Tour is perfect for you. Learn about the spooky legends on this tour in North Carolina and discover an old cemetery!
Description
On the day of this activity, we will meet at Riverside Cemetery, 53 Birch Street Asheville, to begin the tour. This is the only ghost tour in the city that stops at a cemetery, ensuring a unique experience. Ghosthunters, let's go!
As we stroll through the Riverside Cemetery, we will hear some frightening tales about the famous authors buried there, including Thomas Wolfe and William Sydney Porter, some of whom are said to haunt the graveyard.
Next, we will explore Asheville, discussing the story of the infamous mass murderer Will Harris from 1906. We'll check out the receiving vault and may have a chance to be photographed with spirits of German Prisoners of War (POWs).
We will also remember Zelda Fitzgerald and the Highland Hospital fire in 1948. At the Grove Park Inn, we will learn about the friendly spirit of the Pink Lady, and the Riverside spirits related to Erwin's pauper graves.
Finally, we will uncover the tragedies at the murder hotel, family reunions at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, and explore the Brown Mountain Lights that have puzzled scientists for ages.
After 1 hour, the Asheville Ghost Tour will conclude. Until next time!
