Ever wonder what lurks in the dark? If so, this Asheville Ghost Tour is perfect for you. Learn about the spooky legends on this tour in the state of North Carolina and discover an old cemetery!
Description
On the day of this activity, at the specified time, we'll meet at Riverside Cemetery, 53 Birch Street Asheville, to begin this tour. This is the only ghost tour in the city that stops at a cemetery. Ghosthunters, let's go!
As we stroll through Riverside Cemetery, we will recount the lives and past of the famous authors buried there, including Thomas Wolfe and William Sydney Porter. Some have refused to rest peacefully and haunt visitors.
Next, we will hear the story of infamous mass murderer Will Harris, who in 1906 went on a murderous rampage. We will check out the receiving vault and, if fortunate, catch a photograph with the spirits of German Prisoners of War (POWs).
We will remember the life and tragic death of Zelda Fitzgerald in the Highland Hospital fire in 1948. At the Grove Park Inn, we will learn about the friendly spirit of the Pink Lady who has wandered the halls since her death in the 1920s. We will also explore the Riverside spirits and the pauper graves of Erwin.
Lastly, we will uncover tragedies at the murder hotel, family reunions at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, and the Brown Mountain Lights, which have baffled scientists.
After 1 hour together, this Asheville Ghost Tour will conclude. Until next time!
