Golden Circuit Trip

After picking you up from your hotel in downtown Asunción at 8 am, we'll set off to discover the authentic, traditional Paraguayan culture along the Golden Circuit.

The tour begins with the Christian legacy in Paraguay. In San Lorenzo, we will visit the Jesuit baroque church and in Yaguarón the church of San Buenaventura. The highlight is in Caacupé, the spiritual capital and pilgrimage center of the country.

We will continue to San Bernardino, exploring its German origins and enjoying free time by Ypacaraí Lake before a 25-minute boat ride on the lake.

A midday stop will allow time for a buffet dinner. We will then explore traditional Paraguayan handicrafts.

The next stop is Itauguá to learn about ñandutí, and then Areguá, where the largest artisan market in the country is located for souvenir shopping. The final stop is Luque, known for gold and silver filigree jewelry, allowing more time for browsing.

After completing the Gold Circuit, we will return to capital, dropping you off at your hotel in Asunción at 6 pm.

Historic Gold Circuit

If you are passionate about history, select the Historic Gold Circuit when booking. This combines Paraguayan history, tradition, and art with breathtaking landscapes.

We will start the morning visiting Sapucai, known for its old train station. One stop includes Yaguarón to see the church of San Buenaventura, followed by a visit to Pirayú to explore its old town.

The tour continues at Cerro León Camp to learn about the War of the Triple Alliance, concluding in San Bernardino and Ypacaraí Lake.

The tour ends back in Asunción at 6 pm.
