Itinerary

Your adventure begins at 9 am with a convenient hotel pickup in Asunción, followed by a drive to San Bernardino, nestled along the shores of Ypacaraí Lake. As we travel, take in the stunning landscapes of the Cordillera Department and pass through charming villages, where local artisans showcase their crafts.

Approximately 50 minutes later, we will reach San Bernardino, a retreat cherished by both artists and affluent visitors alike during the summer months. Our first stop will be Ypacaraí Lake for a delightful boat ride, offering insights into the town's historical and geographical significance. You will have the chance to admire the renowned Hotel del Lago, a 19th-century establishment that has served as a retreat for notable presidents, like Franklin D. Roosevelt and Charles de Gaulle. Here, you will savor a traditional lunch before enjoying a guided tour of its exquisite architecture and decor.

Following the hotel visit, a guided exploration of San Bernardino awaits. Stroll through the vibrant avenues, picturesque squares, and notable buildings, concluding with a visit to La Alemana, celebrated for its delicious buns. You will have some leisure time to indulge in this local delicacy if you choose.

Finally, we will return to Asunción, with an estimated drop-off at your hotel around 7 pm.
