Tour of Ybycui National Park and La Rosada Museum

Your adventure begins at 8 AM with a pickup from your hotel in Asunción, setting the stage for a scenic two-hour drive to the park.

Upon arrival at Ybycui National Park, which spans over 5,000 hectares of subtropical rainforest, we will commence a hiking trail that provides opportunities to observe the diverse wildlife thriving in this protected environment.

As we trek through the park, various paths will lead us to breathtaking streams and waterfalls with crystal-clear waters, inviting you to take a rejuvenating swim. We will pause for a moment, allowing you some leisure time to enjoy a snack or lunch amidst the peaceful nature surrounding us.

Once refreshed, our exploration will continue towards the La Rosada Museum, situated within the park's boundaries. Here, you will gain insights into the historical significance of this former iron foundry that suffered destruction during the War of the Triple Alliance. You may be surprised to learn that it was among the first metal industries in the Americas. The site was subsequently reconstructed based on its original designs and is now recognized as a National Monument.

After our informative visit, we will make our way back to Asunción, ensuring your return to your hotel by 4 PM.
