Aswan Dam, Philae Temple, and The Unfinished Obelisk

On this tour, we will explore significant achievements of humankind, visiting the Philae Temple and the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest in the world, along with the Aswan Dam, a major 20th-century engineering project.

Itinerary

We will pick you up at your hotel or boat and proceed to the Aswan Dam, completed in 1970 to protect Egypt from Nile flooding. Our next destination is the Unfinished Obelisk, located in a granite pit from the reign of Queen Hatshepsut, which would have stood at 42 meters tall and weighed 1,200 tonnes if completed.

Next, we will visit Agilika Island to see the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, an essential site in the legend of Isis, Osiris, and Horus. After this, we will return you to the starting point, concluding the tour approximately 5 hours after pickup.

This activity includes pickup from hotels, hostels, and apartments in Aswan. For accommodations on the following islands, pickups will occur at specific meeting points:

For Aswan Island West (Gharb Aswan): pickup at the Ferry Terminal in West Bank.For Elefantina Island (Guizirit Alfantin): pickup at KFC in Kornish Al Nile or Egypt Telecom Office on El Sadat Road.For Suhil Island (Guizirit Suhil): pickup at the Ferry Terminal in West Bank.

If your accommodation is outside the city center or the mentioned islands, you must go to one of the indicated meeting points.
