Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at your hotel or cruise vessel in Aswan to start our adventure along Africa's longest river, the Nile. Afterward, we'll board a traditional felucca that will take us to Elephantine Island.

Historically, this island served a crucial role, acting as a natural border between Egypt and Nubia, with its southern sections being fortified for many centuries.

Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, we will embark on a boat tour around Elephantine Island, where you'll learn about its fascinating history. Are you curious about the origin of its unique name? It is believed to stem from its significance as a major ivory trading hub.

Additionally, we'll stop by the Khnun Temple for an outside view, which is one of the major structures spanning three kilometers (1.8 miles) used historically to monitor the Nile floods. To conclude our tour, we will float past the Aswan Botanical Garden, also referred to by the Nubians as Jet Narty. From onboard the felucca, you will witness a rich variety of native Egyptian flora.

We will then return to your hotel or cruise ship.

However, if your accommodation is situated on certain Aswan Islands, we will meet you at the following designated locations:

For stays on West Aswan Island (Gharb Aswan): please meet us at the West Bank Ferry Terminal.If you reside on the island of Suhil (Guizirit Suhil): we will also pick you up from the West Bank Ferry Terminal.

For those whose hotel or boat is located outside the city center or the aforementioned islands, please use one of the specified meeting points.

Additional Info

If the Nile's currents prove to be excessively strong, we will utilize a motorboat for necessary transfers during our river journey for safety considerations.
