Enjoy a leisurely felucca ride along the River Nile and discover Elephantine Island, Aswan's largest island.

Tour Details

We will pick you up from your hotel or cruise ship in Aswan and head to the Nile. Here, we'll board a felucca and journey towards Elephantine Island.

Elephantine Island served as a natural border between Egypt and Nubia and was fortified for many years.

We'll take a boat tour of Elephantine Island with an English-speaking guide who will share the island's history, including its name derived from its past as a significant trading centre for ivory.

We will also visit the Khnun Temple from outside, a crucial structure formerly used to measure Nile floods, and sail past the Aswan Botanical Garden, showcasing endemic Egyptian flora.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel or cruise.
