Nubian Village Day Trip

Cross the River Nile on board a traditional felucca to discover Gharb Soheil, the most authentic village in Egypt, and observe the daily life of the Nubians.

Day Trip Details

After pickup from your hotel or boat, we will proceed to a small port to board the boat for a Nile cruise. Upon crossing the Nile, you will have the opportunity to swim and relax on a beach. The adventure continues on camelback to Gharb Soheil, known as the Nubian Village. Nubia is the region in Africa between the south of Egypt and the north of Sudan.

The Nubian Village is one of the oldest in Africa, with a rich history spanning several centuries. In the village, we will visit the market and explore some houses to see behind their colorful façades. Guests can try local food and traditional teas, listen to music, and experience henna tattoos.

After the visit, we will return via the same route, arriving at the departure point approximately 3 to 4 hours later.

This activity includes pickup from hotels, hostels, and apartments in Aswan. If your accommodation is in specific locations in Aswan, we will arrange pickup at designated meeting points:

Western Aswan Island (Ghard Aswan): pickup at the West Bank Ferry terminal.Elefantina Island (Guizirit Alfantin): pickup in front of the Kornish Al Nile KFC or the Telecom Egypt Office on El Sadat Road.Suhil Island (Guizirit Suhil): pickup at the West Bank Ferry terminal.

If your hotel or boat is outside the downtown area or mentioned islands, we will meet you at one of the specified meeting points.
