Details of the Activity

Day 1: Departure from Athens - Corinth - Epidaurus - Mycenae - Olympia

Your adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Athens at the scheduled time, where you will board a comfortable coach. The first stop will be the impressive Corinth Canal, recognized as one of the most remarkable man-made channels globally. Continuing south, the next destination is Epidaurus, renowned for its incredibly well-preserved theater and remarkable acoustics.

Afterward, and back on board, you'll travel to Argolis to delve into Mycenae, a crucial archaeological site from Ancient Greece.

At this historic location, marvel at iconic structures including the Lion Gate, Cyclopean walls, the Royal Tombs, and the Treasury of Atreus. Your tour proceeds to Olympia, where you will spend the night, the celebrated birthplace of the Olympic Games.

Day 2: Olympia - Delphi

The second day kicks off with a visit to the archaeological treasures of Olympia. You will find the remarkable Temple of Zeus, the altar used for igniting the Olympic flame, the Temple of Hera, the ancient Stadium that hosted the first Olympic Games, along with the Archaeological Museum of the site.

After absorbing the rich history of Ancient Greece, you’ll reboard your coach for a scenic drive across the Rio-Antirrio Bridge, before arriving in Delphi for the night.

Day 3: Delphi - Return to Athens

After enjoying breakfast, embark on a discovery tour of Delphi, revered as the heart of Ancient Greece. Here, you will explore one of Europe’s significant archaeological sites, concluding with a visit to its Archaeological Museum, which houses countless ancient artifacts.

After a morning steeped in history, the afternoon will bring you back to Athens.

4-Day Option

Selecting this option means that the itinerary for the first two days mirrors that of the 3-day tour.

On the third day, after the Delphi Archaeological Museum, travel to Kalambaka, a charming town where you will spend the night.

The fourth day starts with breakfast in Kalambaka, followed by a visit to the renowned Meteora monasteries. Depending on the season, you may explore two of the following 11th-century monastic sites: the Monastery of Saint Stephen, the Monastery of Saint Varlaam, the Monastery of Great Meteoron, or the Monastery of Rousanou.

The tour will conclude with a visit to Sparta to view the monument to Leonidas, before returning to Athens, where arrival is expected between 6:30 pm and 7 pm, contingent on traffic conditions.
