Details of the Day Trip

We will begin our journey at the designated rendezvous point, Athanasiou Diakou Street, number 26, from where we set off towards the Corinth Canal. Here, a brief pause will allow you to appreciate this remarkable feat of engineering.

Our adventure continues as we proceed to the Argolid area, where Mycenae, a pivotal site in ancient Greek civilization, awaits exploration. At the archaeological site, you will step into the legendary realm of Agamemnon, immersing yourself in the tales recounted in Homer's Iliad and Odyssey.

After touring the citadel, including the significant Lion's Gate and the Tomb of Agamemnon, we will make our way to Nafplion, the inaugural capital of modern Greece. Once there, you'll have 1.5 hours to enjoy lunch and individually discover this charming town. Be sure to visit the stunning Palamidi fortress and admire the Bourtzi castle. Take your time wandering through the picturesque streets of the center.

Post-lunch, we will resume our expedition, heading to Epidaurus, famed as the birthplace of Asclepius, the deity of medicine. The highlight of this site is undoubtedly the Epidaurus Theater. If you prefer not to join the guided tour, you’ll have an hour of free time to explore the surroundings while the rest of the group enjoys a guided experience.

As the day comes to a close, we will return to Athens, with an expected arrival time at the original meeting location approximately 10 hours after departure.

Optional Lunch

An optional lunch can be arranged in Nafplion, featuring a menu of two courses of traditional Greek cuisine and dessert. Please note that beverages are not included.

Do keep in mind that admission tickets for Epidaurus are not included in this tour package. We suggest securing your tickets in advance via the official website to avoid any last-minute issues.

Admission is free for the following groups:

Moreover, senior citizens over 65 qualify for a 50% discount on their entry to Epidaurus, available only at the on-site ticket office.

If you plan to visit Epidaurus, remember to reserve your tickets for the time slot between 3 pm and 4 pm.
