Embark on a day trip to Delphi from Athens to uncover one of the ancient world's most renowned cities. The archaeological site is a pivotal element of Greece's rich heritage, offering a unique opportunity to delve into the mythology and historical significance of this fascinating country.

Details of the Day Trip

We'll begin our journey at the designated meeting point in Athens, departing for Delphi, a captivating UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for the illustrious Temple of Apollo.

During our trip, we'll travel through Boeotia and Thebes without making any stops, except for a short break in Livadeia, where you'll have the option to refresh yourself or enjoy a coffee. After about 3 hours on the road, we will reach Delphi, often referred to in ancient times as "the navel of the world."

Upon arrival, a guided exploration of 2.5 hours awaits you, including the Monument to the Kings of Argos, the Treasury, and the iconic Temple of Apollo. Our visit will also include an excursion to the Archaeological Museum, featuring its remarkable artifacts like the famous Charioteer of Delphi.

After this enriching experience, you'll have 1.5 hours of free time for lunch. Once rejuvenated, we will return to Athens, arriving back at the meeting point approximately 10 hours after departure.

This alternative includes pickup at Athanasiou Diakou 26, Athina 117 43, Greece.

Similar to the prior option, this tour also offers an audio guide in Delphi and the support of an English-speaking tour assistant.

Note: Neither of the audio-guided tours covers lunch or admission fees. Tickets are priced at 20EUR for adults and should be reserved for the 1 pm to 2 pm time slot. EU citizens under 25 and non-EU citizens under 18 can enter free of charge by showing their ID at the ticket desk. Seniors over 65 can enjoy a 50% discount.

Key Information

Due to ongoing construction, access to the Delphi Stadium is currently restricted. However, the remainder of the archaeological site, including the Sanctuary of Apollo and the Oracle of Delphi, is accessible and open for your exploration.
