On this Greek mythology tour of Athens, we will explore the legends upon which the foundations of the Greek capital are built, featuring deities such as Zeus, Athena, Aries, and Aphrodite.

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the National Library of Greece to begin this tour of Greek mythology in Athens. You'll learn about well-known and lesser-known myths alike.

What is Athens' foundation myth? Who is the patron deity of the city? Why was the Acropolis built? We'll address these questions during this mythological tour of Athens, a city rich in legends.

We'll admire the exterior of the Academy of Athens, which houses the only sculptures of Plato and Socrates in the city, along with the Numismatic Museum, which illustrates the significance of ancient Greek coins in the economy and politics.

Next, we'll stroll through the National Garden and in front of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Arch of Hadrian. At these sites, we will share various myths involving gods such as Zeus, Poseidon, and Aphrodite, highlighting Greek mythology, philosophy, and poetry.

Finally, after a total of 2 hours, we'll conclude the tour in front of the Acropolis Museum.
