Description
We will meet at the Centennial Olympic Park ringside at the specified time to delve into an important chapter in Atlanta's sporting history.
During the free tour, we will learn facts about the 1996 Olympic Games and its impact on Atlanta. We will walk through various important city squares related to the Olympic Games, including a tribute to Ancient Greek athletes and an overview of previous host cities. Additionally, we will view a sculpture of Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games.
We will also address the tragic terrorist attack that occurred during the Atlanta Olympics and discuss its consequences. As we conclude our tour, we will pass by significant landmarks such as the Georgia Aquarium, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the World of Coca-Cola exhibition, the Skyview Atlanta Ferris Wheel, and the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.
The tour will last approximately an hour and 15 minutes, ending near the original meeting point.
