The Auckland Explorer Bus provides a comfortable tour experience on a double-decker open-top vehicle, offering panoramic views of Auckland's attractions, complemented by a recorded audio guide in English. The bus features two routes:
The Red Tour explores downtown and central Auckland, including highlights such as the Sky Tower, Auckland Art Gallery, Newmarket, Auckland War Memorial Museum, and SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium.
The Blue Tour covers central and western Auckland with stops at Mt. Eden, Auckland Zoo, and MOTAT. The Blue Outer Tour is available only during the summer season, from November to April.
How it Works
Your ticket is valid for 24 or 48 hours from the time you first show it, allowing unlimited hops on and off during that period.
Frequency and Schedule
The Auckland tourist bus operates as follows:
Red route: Daily from 9 am to 4 pm with a frequency of every 30 minutes. The full tour duration is about 70 minutes.Blue route: Operational from November to April, 9 am to 4 pm with a frequency of every 30 minutes, totaling a 50-minute full tour.
