The Auckland Explorer Bus provides a comfortable means to explore one of New Zealand's iconic cities. Onboard the double-decker open-top bus, you will enjoy panoramic views and a recorded audio guide in English.

The Red Tour covers the downtown and central Auckland areas, highlighting the Sky Tower, Auckland Art Gallery, Newmarket, Auckland War Memorial Museum, and SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium.

The Blue Tour includes central and western Auckland, featuring locations like Mt. Eden, Auckland Zoo, and MOTAT. Note that the Blue Outer Tour operates only during New Zealand's summer season, from November to April.

How it Works

Your ticket is valid for 24 or 48 hours from its first use on the bus, allowing you to hop on and off as often as desired.

Frequency and Schedule

The Auckland tourist bus operates at the following times:

Red route: daily from 9 am to 4 pm, with a frequency of every 30 minutes. The full tour duration is approximately 70 minutes.Blue route: operates from November to April, 9 am to 4 pm, with a frequency of every 30 minutes. The full tour lasts around 50 minutes.
