At the scheduled time, pickup will be from your accommodation in central Auckland. You'll board a comfortable minibus and travel across New Zealand's landscapes to Matamata, home of Hobbiton.
After a 2.5-hour journey, arrival is in the enchanting region of the Shire™. A guide specializing in The Lord of the Rings will reveal insights into the movie's production, including how Peter Jackson chose this location.
During the tour, you will explore the Hobbit Holes™, the Mill, and the Green Dragon™ Inn, where you can enjoy a Hobbit™ Southfarthing™ beverage.
