Join a day tour to visit the Hobbiton movie set and Waitomo Caves, two of New Zealand's renowned attractions. Pickup is arranged from your accommodation in central Auckland, followed by a two-hour drive to Matamata.
Upon arrival, you'll explore Hobbiton, experiencing the lush landscapes and Hobbit Holes featured in Peter Jackson's film adaptations of "The Lord of The Rings." The tour includes visits to key locations like Bilbo Baggins' home, the Mill, and the Green Dragon Inn, where a specially brewed beverage is available. You will also have the opportunity to enter one of the Hobbit Holes.
After Hobbiton, the tour proceeds to Waitomo for a visit to its famous caves. Here, you will embark on a boat ride along the underground river, witnessing the illuminated cave walls created by glowworms, providing a unique and breathtaking experience.
The tour concludes with the return trip to Auckland, lasting a total of 11 to 12 hours of activity.
