Hungry in Austin? No problem! We'll meet at 2:45 pm at 111 Congress Avenue, next to the Fareground Restaurant entrance.

The food tour will start with a tasting that combines American BBQ sauce with Mexican roots. We'll sample Texas-style BBQ brisket with pinto beans and green chili.

We’ll stroll along the theatre avenue to admire its Art Deco architecture. The tour will then proceed to Congress Avenue, where we’ll learn about protected historic buildings. There will be a stop to sample the chicken tamale, a dish consumed in this region since 5000 BC.

Next, we’ll visit a restaurant owned by a famous chef and try a slice of the unique Austin Weird pizza, which offers a variety of tastes. To conclude the tour, we’ll enjoy a special secret dish.

The tour will end at 5:45 pm around Congress Street, near the Texas State Capitol. Here we will taste one of Austin's most famous sweets, providing the perfect ending to this gastronomic experience!
