On this guided tour of Austin, we'll uncover the history and key landmarks of Texas' capital.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of Jo's Coffee. From there, we will begin our guided tour of Austin, walking through the historic centre of the city.
During the tour, we will walk along Congress Avenue, leading to the significant Texas Capitol.
Before reaching the Capitol, we will stop at the historic Speakeasy bar. Here, we will showcase before and after images of the area for context.
Continuing along the avenue, we will arrive at the Capitol, which is notable for being bigger than the Capitol in Washington DC.
After viewing this 1888 neo-Renaissance style building, we will stop at the Moody Theatre. This modern live music venue hosts around 100 concerts annually and accommodates 2750 people. Visiting it is highly recommended if you plan to stay in Austin.
The tour will last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes to one hour and thirty minutes, concluding at the starting point.
