Experience the best of San Antonio on this small group tour from Austin. Explore the Alamo, admire the city's skyline, visit the Spanish colonial missions, and enjoy views from a river cruise and the Tower of the Americas.

Tour Details

On the day of the activity, pickup will be from your hotel in Austin at the scheduled time for the 1 hour and 15-minute drive to San Antonio. Highlights will be shared en route.

Upon arrival, visit The Alamo. During a guided tour, learn about the 1836 Battle of the Alamo and view the Alamo’s largest weapons and fortifications, including the 16-pounder cannon and the barracks. Afterwards, stroll through the gardens shaded by old oak trees on the grounds.

Next, visit San Antonio’s Spanish Missions, specifically Mission San Jose, the largest and most visited mission, often called the “Queen of the Missions.”

Afterwards, take an elevator ride to the top of the Tower of the Americas, ascending 190 m (623 ft) to the Observation Deck for panoramic views of the city.

Then, enjoy a 35-minute relaxing cruise along the River Walk, a 15-mile (24 km) urban waterway, on a silent, electric, and colorful boat while admiring the architecture, culture, and music.

Finally, after 7 hours, return to your hotel.
