Avarua Guided Tour

At 3 pm we'll meet at Ara Tapu to start this guided tour of Avarua, the main urban centre of Rarotonga.

After introductions, we will walk through Avarua to explore its emblematic places and learn about its history. The tour includes visits to important monuments, such as the Cook Islands Christian Church.

During the tour, we will stop at a juice bar next to the beach to celebrate your stay on the island.

As we discuss the Polynesian traditions and customs of the local people, we will learn interesting facts about the gateway to the Cook Islands, including its dependency on the New Zealand government.

The tour concludes back at the starting point after an hour and a half of discovering Avarua.
