Description
At the indicated time we'll start our Portuguese wine tasting at Entre Copos e Chávenas, right in the centre of Aveiro.
For 45 minutes, we'll take a sensory journey through the oenological tradition of northern Portugal, tasting 3 glasses of Port wine with different flavours and aromas. We'll taste the Porto Dry White with cured cheese, the Porto Ruby with chocolate, and the Porto Tawny with nuts.
We'll examine the contrasts between a dry white, a Ruby and a Tawny. Tawny comes from red grapes and is aged in barrels or oak casks for years, while Ruby wines are mainly aged in glass bottles for 1 to 3 years.
An expert in the field will guide you to appreciate the most characteristic features of each wine, teaching you to distinguish their main characteristics by the end of the tasting.
