Explore the beautiful region in southeast France with this Provence Day Trip from Avignon. You'll visit Gordes, Saint Rémy, Roussillon, and Pont du Gard.

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the tourist office in Avignon at the indicated time to board a minibus to explore Provence.

Our first stop will be Roussillon, known for its ochre-colored houses. We will walk through the village and admire the ochre cliffs, including Le Sentier des Ocres. On a Thursday, we will visit the traditional market.

Next, we'll head to Gordes for a brief photo stop before traveling inland to Fontaine de Vaucluse. Here, you will have free time to explore around the Sorgues River and visit a local restaurant.

Following this, we'll visit Saint Rémy, surrounded by landscapes that inspired Vincent Van Gogh's paintings.

We will then stop at Les Baux de Provence, where you'll have about one hour of free time to explore the medieval fortress.

Finally, we will visit Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct from the first century, and learn about its conservation and significance. The tour will conclude with our return to Avignon after a duration of 10.5 hours.
