Explore the beautiful region in southeast France with this Provence Day Trip from Avignon. You'll visit Gordes, Saint Rémy, Roussillon, and Pont du Gard.

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the tourist office in Avignon at the indicated time to board a minibus for our journey through Provence.

The first stop will be Roussillon, known for its ochre-colored houses. You'll walk through this village, appreciating the ochre cliffs, particularly Le Sentier des Ocres. If this trip occurs on a Thursday, we will visit the traditional market.

Next, we will visit Gordes briefly for photographs before heading inland to Fontaine de Vaucluse, where you'll have free time to explore local restaurants.

Then, we will visit the center of Saint Rémy, recognized for its landscapes and connection to Vincent Van Gogh’s art.

Our next stop will be Les Baux de Provence, where you'll have about an hour of free time to explore the medieval fortress.

Finally, we will explore the Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct built in the first century, learning about its conservation and significance.

We will complete the trip and return to Avignon after a 10.5-hour day.
