Explore the beautiful region in southeast France with this Provence Day Trip from Avignon. You'll visit Gordes, Saint Rémy, Roussillon, Pont du Gard, and more.
Description
We'll meet at the tourist office in Avignon at the indicated time to board a minibus for our journey through Provence. Our first stop will be Roussillon, known for its ochre-colored houses and cliffs, including Le Sentier des Ocres. We will continue to Gordes for a brief photo opportunity before heading to Fontaine de Vaucluse, where you’ll walk along the Sorgues River and have free time for lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, we'll visit the Pont du Gard, a first-century Roman aqueduct, to learn about its historical importance and conservation. Afterward, we will stop at Les Baux de Provence, where you will have approximately one hour of free time to explore the medieval fortress.
Our final stop will be Saint Rémy, allowing you time to stroll around the historic center before concluding the tour and returning to Avignon, arriving at the starting point after a 10-hour day trip.
