Follow in the footsteps of the famous Dutch artist and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence with this Provence Van Gogh Tour. A unique route for lovers of expressionism!

Description

"I dream my painting and paint my dream." To discover more about Van Gogh's time in Provence, we'll meet at the indicated time at 41 Cours Jean Jaurès.

The first item of the day will be a photo stop in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, where Van Gogh painted 'The Starry Night' in his sanatorium. In this village, we'll visit the recreation of Van Gogh's old room.

Next, we'll head to Arles, where the artist lived from 1888. Upon arrival, we'll take a walking tour of the historic centre and see the Café Van Gogh, featured in 'Café Terrace at Night'. We will also walk along the Arenes de Arles: one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in France.

You'll then have 30 minutes of free time. On Saturdays, you can visit the weekly market in Arles. Finally, the tour will end by returning to Avignon, arriving back at the starting point after 6.5 hours of exploring.
