Follow in the footsteps of the famous Dutch artist and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence with this Provence Van Gogh Tour. A unique route for lovers of expressionism!
Description
"I dream my painting and paint my dream." To learn more about Van Gogh's time in Provence, we will meet at 41 Cours Jean Jaurès at the designated time.
The first stop will be in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, known for Van Gogh's painting 'The Starry Night'. Here, there is an option to visit the recreation of Van Gogh's old room.
Next, we will proceed to Arles, where Van Gogh lived from 1888 onwards. A walking tour of the historic center will follow, highlighting the symbolic Café Van Gogh, featured in his work 'Café Terrace at Night', and a stroll along the Arenes de Arles, a well-preserved Roman amphitheater.
Participants will have 30 minutes of free time. On Saturdays, the popular weekly market in Arles is accessible. The tour concludes by returning to Avignon, arriving back at the starting point after 6 hours of exploration.
