Ayacucho Guided Tour
We'll meet at 3:30 pm in the Plaza Mayor square to begin our tour, learning about the city's history. The square features notable architecture from the colonial period, including the Casa de Baza y Solís and the baroque Cathedral.
As we explore, we will see more colonial houses and colourful buildings. The tour continues to the Hipólito Unanue Museum, focusing on ancient Peruvian civilizations such as Chimú, Moche, Wari, and Inca.
We will also visit the Santa Teresa de las Carmelitas Descalzas Monastery. Known as "the city of churches", count how many churches you can see during the tour!
Ayacucho is recognised for its crafts. In the Santa Ana neighbourhood, we will learn about huamanga stone carving and weaving. Our final stop will be at the Acuchimay Viewpoint, where you can enjoy views of the city.
The tour concludes at 7 pm.
