Cangallo Falls Hiking Tour
At 7:50 am, we will meet at the Plaza de Armas and travel south from Ayacucho to the Cangallo waterfalls. We will follow the "Route of the Cangallo Falls," associated with historical ritual offerings. It is believed that these waters possess magical properties.
We will start with a hiking route to the Pumapaqcha waterfall, which will take approximately 40 minutes for the round trip. Afterward, we will visit the Batán and Qorimaqma waterfalls, formed by the Chankil and Macromayo rivers. This portion of the route will last around 1.5 hours.
Following the hikes, a bus will transport us to the Huahuapuquio pool, where participants can enjoy a bath in its mineral-rich thermal waters. There will be free time for lunch, as the pool area includes a restaurant.
We will conclude the tour with a brief stop in the town of Cangallo, known as the "City of Heroes and Heroines," before returning to Ayacucho. We expect to arrive back at the meeting point around 8 pm.
