Cangallo Falls Hiking Tour
At 7:50 am, we'll meet at the Plaza de Armas and head south of Ayacucho towards the waterfalls of Cangallo.
We'll follow the "Route of the Cangallo Falls", known for its legendary waterfalls where the Indians practiced ritual offerings to the gods. These waters are said to have magical properties.
Our experience begins with a hiking route to the Pumapaqcha waterfall, a prominent waterfall in the area. The total round-trip hike will take about 40 minutes. Next, we will proceed to the Batán and Qorimaqma waterfalls, sourced from the Chankil and Macromayo rivers, which will take approximately 1.5 hours.
After the hiking, a bus will take us to the Huahuapuquio pool for a refreshing bath in its mineral-rich thermal waters. You will have free time for lunch, as the pool features a restaurant.
Our return to Ayacucho will include a brief stop in the town of Cangallo, known as the "City of Heroes and Heroines". We expect to return to the meeting point in Ayacucho around 8 pm.
