Cangallo Falls Hiking Tour
At 7:50 am, we'll meet at the Plaza de Armas and head south of Ayacucho towards the Cangallo waterfalls. We'll follow the "Route of the Cangallo Falls", which features waterfalls where the Indians practiced ritual offerings. The waters are believed to have magical properties.
The experience begins with a hiking route to Pumapaqcha waterfall, with a total round-trip time of about 40 minutes. We will then continue to the Batán and Qorimaqma waterfalls, which are formed by the Chankil and Macromayo rivers. This segment will take approximately 1.5 hours.
After the hike, the bus will pick us up to visit the Huahuapuquio pool, where you can enjoy a refreshing bath in the mineral-rich thermal waters and have free time for lunch, as a restaurant is available at the pool.
We will conclude the tour with a brief stop at the town of Cangallo, known as the "City of Heroes and Heroines", before returning to Ayacucho, with an estimated arrival back at the meeting point around 8 pm.
