Tour to Pachapupum Volcano

The excursion to Pachapupum volcano begins at 6 am at the Plaza de Armas, where the bus will transport us to Sacsamarca, located south of Ayacucho.

The 4-5 hour journey includes a stop in Condorccocha for breakfast and another in Huanca Sancos for those needing to purchase lunch. Upon arrival at Pachapupum volcano, we will ascend using natural steps formed by erosion. At the summit, you can view the crater, which is 10 meters in diameter, with boiling water due to geothermal activity.

Additionally, there are small wells around the crater, rich in minerals like salt and sulfur, where you can bathe in the hot springs—remember to bring a swimsuit. There will be a break for lunch from your packed meals before we return to Ayacucho by bus, arriving at the departure point by 8 pm.
