On this excursion to Kohunlich and Dzibanché from Bacalar, we'll explore two important Mayan sites in the Mexican jungle of Quintana Roo.

Kohunlich and Dzibanché Tour

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Bacalar to visit the ancient Mayan settlements.

First, we'll visit the archaeological site of Dzibanché, one of the state's key Mayan cities dating back to 200 BC. The site features various temples and is surrounded by a lush jungle environment where we may see howler monkeys and different exotic birds.

Next, we will head to the archaeological site of Kohunlich, a Mayan ceremonial center with several architectural complexes. We will walk through the acropolis to the Temple of the Masks, which displays 5 figures representing aspects of Mayan ceremonial life. We will also see the Temple of the 27 Steps and other notable sites.

Before returning to Bacalar, we will stop at a restaurant in the jungle for a meal that includes a main course, starter, dessert, and drink.

After an 8-hour tour, we will return you to your hotel.
