Sailboat Excursion on Lake Bacalar

Your adventure begins at the dock located on Avenida 5, at your preferred time. Here, we will board a state-of-the-art sailboat and set forth on a captivating expedition across Lake Bacalar, often referred to as the Lake of the Seven Colors.

As part of the itinerary, you'll explore Cenote Negro, a stunning natural feature measuring 427 ft (130 m) in diameter and varying in depth from approximately 5 ft (1.5 m) to an impressive 328 ft (100 m). Picture a dreamlike setting akin to a Caribbean beach, framed by soft sandy banks. Curiously, this cenote is also called the Cenote de la Bruja or Witch Cenote—discover the reason during your visit!

Along the route, we'll glide past the breathtaking Islas Cocos, Isla de los Pájaros, and the captivating Canal de los Piratas, all enveloped by vibrant greenery. While on board, indulge in delicious guacamole paired with refreshing water and beer.

The exploration will also take you through the mangrove region, where you can encounter three distinct types: red, white, and button mangroves. These aquatic ecosystems are vital habitats for various wildlife, including hawks, so be sure to remain vigilant!
