Baena Guided Tour
We will meet at the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe at the selected time for our guided tour. Discover why Guadalupe is the patron saint of the city.
The tour includes a walk through the center of Baena, arriving at Plaza de España, the oldest square in the city. We will continue along Calle Amador de los Ríos, pass San Bartolomé Church, and proceed down Calle Mesones to the beautiful Plaza de la Constitución.
We will stop to visit Baena's Historical and Archaeological Museum, where we will take a guided tour through the history of Baena, covering periods from prehistoric times to the Contemporary Age.
If you are interested in the Arabic history of Spain, you will find the Alamedina intriguing, as it was part of the Caliphate of Cordoba. We will explore remnants of that era and learn about the medieval fortified city.
The guided tour will conclude at the Castle of Baena, where we will discuss its origins and current state.
