Baena Guided Tour
Our meeting point is the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe), where we'll start our guided tour at the designated time. Curious about why Guadalupe is celebrated as the patron saint of Baena? Join us to uncover the story!
During our stroll through the city center, we’ll explore the Plaza de España, the oldest square in Baena. We will continue down Calle Amador de los Ríos, passing by San Bartolomé Church, and proceed along Calle Mesones until we arrive at the picturesque Plaza de la Constitución.
We will pause to visit Baena's Historical and Archaeological Museum, where we’ll embark on a guided tour that spans the history of Baena from prehistoric times to the Contemporary Age. This immersive journey through time promises to be enlightening!
If you’re intrigued by Arabic history in Spain, the Alamedina district will capture your interest. As we explore the highest point of Baena, you’ll learn about the streets that once thrived under the Caliphate of Cordoba and gain insight into the old medieval fortified city.
The tour concludes at the Castle of Baena, where we’ll discuss its origins and transformation through the centuries before we part ways.
