Baeza: A City of Three Cultures Free Tour
Join us on a free tour of Baeza starting from Paseo Portales Zapatería. We will explore Baeza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, beginning at the Paseo de la Constitución, which was the city's market. Our tour includes insights into the trade goods of its diverse cultures and a visit to the Santísima Trinidad Secondary School, where poet Antonio Machado taught from 1912 to 1919.
Next, we will visit the Plaza de Santa Cruz and admire the links between the church and Palacio de Jabalquinto with Baeza's three cultures. Our journey continues to the Plaza de Santa María, home to the Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady, built on an ancient mosque's foundation, and features a former minaret.
We will explore the surrounding alleyways reflecting Muslim heritage and enjoy views of nearby olive groves. The tour concludes with an olive oil tasting at a local venue after 1.5 hours, ending at the Plaza del Pópulo.
