Baeza Tourist Train
The route starts inPlaza de los Leones, outside the original city walls of Baeza, featuring buildings like theCarnicerías Públicas, theClerkship, and theCivil High Court, along with theVillalar Arch,Azacaya Gate, andLos Leones Fountain. The train continues through the town until reachingPlaza de España.
The tour approaches the old walls near theclock tower and theÚbeda Gate, offering views of theGuadalquivir Valley that inspired poetAntonio Machado.
It proceeds through medieval streets, reachingPlaza de Santa María, the city’s monumental heart, where we observe the Santa María Fountain, the San Felipe Neri Seminary, and theSan Isidoro and Nuestra Señora de la Natividad Cathedral.
In the final section, we see theJabalquinto Palace and the 18th-century university. The train concludes its journey by returning toPlaza de los Leones 30 minutes later.
