The province of Jaen is the home of olive oil, and you can find all about it when you visit the Olive Museum in Baeza and the town's oil mill.
Description
At the specified time, we'll begin at the entrance of the Olive Culture Museum, where you'll have the opportunity to tour one of the leading olive tourism facilities in Andalusia, guided by an expert in Spanish.
During the tour, we'll explore the industry, examining the 30+ varieties of olive trees in the Garden of Varieties, old pressing systems, and 19th-century equipment.
We'll then proceed to the olive oil cellar, dating back to 1848. Here, you'll notice the central European influence on the building's architecture, recognized as a Cultural Heritage Site in 2007.
An expert Spanish-speaking guide will demonstrate how the oil mill operates, providing insight into the modern-day production and extraction processes of olive oil.
To conclude the tour, we'll participate in an introductory course in olive oil tasting in the old 19th-century factory. You'll learn how to distinguish between different varieties of oil, assess its quality, and discover the properties of this product.
After 1 hour and 45 minutes, this tour will come to an end.
