In this whale watching activity in the Marino Ballena National Park, we'll sail along the coast of Uvita, one of the best places in Costa Rica to spot dolphins and whales.
Whale Watching in Marino Ballena National Park
After meeting at 8:30 am at the entrance of the Marino Ballena National Park in Uvita, we'll walk to a nearby dock to begin our cruise along the western coast of Costa Rica. During the sail, we'll observe various specimens of whales and dolphins in this area of the Pacific, as well as different species of sea turtles present in the ecosystem.
We will continue our journey to Isla Ballena, where we will stop for 45 minutes to snorkel and swim in the open sea. Following this activity, we will return to the boat and proceed toward the sea caves of Ventana Beach, where you can photograph the notable stone arches created by erosion.
We will conclude the boat ride through Marino Ballena National Park at 12 pm, returning to the starting point.
Whale & dolphin watching
The coast of Uvita is recognized as an excellent location for observing whales, dolphins, and other cetaceans. However, animal sightings may vary due to factors such as weather conditions and the breeding seasons of various species.
