Activity Details
We'll meet at a strategic point in Uvita or at the entrance of the Marino Ballena National Park, depending on your choice. From there, we'll head to a nearby dock to set off on a cruise along the western coast of Costa Rica.
As we sail, we'll admire different specimens of whales and dolphins and sightings of various sea turtles in this ecosystem. We'll continue our journey by sailing to Isla Ballena, where we'll stop for snorkelling and a dip in the open sea.
After swimming, we'll return to the boat and sail to a different point in the marine park, depending on the weather conditions. Admiring nature is guaranteed!
After a total of 3 to 3.5 hours, we'll conclude the trip by returning to the starting point.
Itinerary Order
For organisational reasons, the order of visits described in the itinerary may vary.
Whale & Dolphin Watching
The coast of Uvita is ideal for seeing whales, dolphins, and other cetaceans. However, animals are unpredictable, and sightings will depend on factors like weather and breeding seasons, especially from December to April and July to October.
Rainy Season
Although whales are present from July to October, these months correspond to the rainy season in the region. Visibility may be reduced, and activities like swimming or snorkelling may be interrupted.
