In this whale watching activity in the Marino Ballena National Park, we'll sail along the coast of Uvita, a notable location in Costa Rica for spotting dolphins and whales.
Activity Details
We will meet at 8:30 am at the entrance of the Marino Ballena National Park in Uvita and walk to a nearby dock to begin our cruise along the western coast of Costa Rica. During the sail, participants can expect to see various species of whales and dolphins, along with different kinds of sea turtles inhabiting this ecosystem.
Our journey includes a stop at Isla Ballena, where you will have 45 minutes for snorkeling and swimming in the open sea. After this activity, we will return to the boat and proceed towards the sea caves of Ventana Beach. From the boat, you'll have the chance to photograph these notable caves, characterized by their unique stone arches.
The boat ride will conclude at 12 pm upon returning to the starting point.
Whale & Dolphin Watching
The coast of Uvita is recognized for sightings of whales, dolphins, and other cetaceans. However, animal sightings are unpredictable. The number of specimens seen can vary based on factors such as weather conditions and the breeding seasons of different species, particularly from December to April and July to October.
