Mount St. Helens Day Trip

On our Mount St. Helens Day Trip from Seattle, we'll follow the Toutle River and admire this stratovolcano in Skamania County. We'll take in the scenery from Johnston Ridge and have an unforgettable day.

Mount St. Helens Day Trip

At 7:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Seattle and set off southbound towards Mount St. Helens. Our journey to the Mount St. Helens National Monument will take around 3 hours. On the way there, we'll stop at either the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge or the Lewis & Clark State Park for breakfast.

Upon arrival, we'll take a short hike to explore the area along the banks of the Toutle River, observing the scenery shaped by the volcanic eruption in 1980.

At 1:30 pm, we will have a picnic lunch while enjoying the views of Mount St. Helens. We'll then head to the Johnston Ridge Visitors Centre to take in the landscape. Afterward, we'll return to your hotel in Seattle, concluding the day trip at 7:30 pm.
