Explore the history and craftwork of Azerbaijan with this private tour of the National History Museum and the Carpet Museum.

Tour Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Baku at the indicated time and head to the Azerbaijan National History Museum, located in one of the greenest areas in the capital. This is the largest museum in the country and is housed in the Zaynaladbdin Taghiyev Palace, which has been open to the public since 1921.

We'll enter this building designed in the Italian Renaissance style by architect Józef Goslawski and begin our guided tour, focusing on exhibitions related to ancient and medieval history.

Next, we'll take a 15-minute walk to the Carpet Museum, one of the most visited sites in Baku. The exterior of this building resembles a roll of carpet.

Inside, we will explore its permanent exhibition, which includes over 10,000 ceramic objects, 14th-century works, Bronze Age jewellery, traditional outfits, and carpets created between the 17th and 20th centuries.

We'll return you to your hotel 4 hours after pick-up, concluding the tour.
