This 12-day tour of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan will take you from Baku to Yerevan through the most magnificent locations in the Caucasus Mountains.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Baku

Upon your arrival in Baku, a representative will meet you at the arrivals terminal for your transfer to the hotel. Check-in begins after 2 pm, and the rest of the day is free for you to explore.

Day 2: Gobustan National Park

After a breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for the Absheron Peninsula. Our first stop will be at Gobustan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will spend 3 hours observing remarkable mud volcanoes and over 6,000 ancient cave paintings.

Next, we'll enjoy a 45-minute panoramic tour of Baku from Upland Park, taking in iconic sights including Icheri Sheher—the historic inner city. During the 3-hour tour, we will see the Maiden Tower, the Shirvanshah Palace, Fountain Square, and the waterfront avenues along the Caspian Sea.

Lastly, we will return you to your hotel in Baku.

Day 3: Shamakhi - Shaki

Following breakfast, we will embark on a 2.5-hour journey to Shamaki. Here, we will stop for 1.5 hours to visit significant Silk Road sites, including the mausoleums of Yeddi Gumbez and Diri Baba, built in the early 18th century.

You'll have an hour for lunch before continuing to Shaki, a further 2.5-hour drive. In Shaki, we’ll visit the Khan's Palace for 1.5 hours, famous for its Venetian stained glass windows and frescoes dating back to the 18th century. Shaki was the hub of silk production for 20 years.

We will overnight at a hotel in Shaki.

Day 4: Shaki, Lagodekhi, Alaverdi and Telavi

After breakfast, we will head to Lagodekhi, the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan, arriving in roughly 2 hours. Here, we will switch guides and enjoy a visit to the architectural complex of Gremi, known for its historical significance and scenic location in the Alazani Valley.

After a brief 45-minute visit, we’ll proceed to the Alaverdi Cathedral, just 15 minutes away. You'll have an hour to enjoy lunch before a half-hour exploration of the site, with origins in the 6th century.

Next, we’ll visit Vardisubani for a traditional Georgian wine tasting in a cellar before continuing onward to Telavi for the night.

Day 5: Telavi, Tsinandali, Signagi, Bodbe and Tbilisi

After breakfast, we will set off for Tsinandali, a 30-minute drive to the museum village. Here, you will explore the residence of the Dukes of Georgia, which features a beautiful garden and wine cellar for an hour.

Then, we’ll travel half an hour to Sighnaghi. Spend 1.5 hours discovering its charming architecture and stunning views of the Alazani Valley. Don’t miss the Bodbe Monastery before breaking for a self-organized lunch. Afterward, we'll arrive in Tbilisi after a 2.5-hour drive, where we’ll stay for three nights.

Day 6: Tbilisi

On the 6th day, we will explore Tbilisi. After breakfast, enjoy a 3.5-hour guided tour of the city, focusing on its unique architecture and cultural landmarks, including the Metekhi Church, Narikala Fortress, and the Great Synagogue.

A walk through the craft market will allow you to appreciate local artistry. The remainder of the afternoon is free for you to discover local cuisine and attractions. We’ll spend the night in Tbilisi.

Day 7: Uplistsikhe and Mtskheta

After breakfast, we will head to Jvari for a 45-minute visit to the Jvari Monastery, known for its stunning views of the Aragvi and Kura rivers.

We’ll then proceed to Uplistsikhe, an ancient cave city, for 1 hour and 15 minutes of exploration before a brief stop for photos and a 30-minute lunch in Gori, Stalin’s birthplace. Our next destination is Mtskheta, the ancient capital, where we will visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will return to Tbilisi for the night.

Day 8: Haghpat, Sevan and Yerevan

After our hotel breakfast and transitioning drivers, we will travel 3 hours to the Haghpat Monastery. Allocate an hour to appreciate its historical significance.

Following a 30-minute lunch break, we will head to Dilijan for a brief stroll through its streets. Another 30-minute drive will bring us to Lake Sevan, one of the highest freshwater lakes globally. Our final stop is the Sevanavank Monastic Complex before transferring to your Yerevan hotel.

Day 9: Echmiadzin and Zvartnots

Post-breakfast, we will leave for Echmiadzin for a 30-minute journey. Over 3 hours, we’ll explore the cathedral and the impressive ruins of the Zvartnots temple, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After an hour for lunch, we will return to Yerevan to visit the Memorial Park and Museum of the Victims of the Genocide for an hour. The day concludes with a visit to the Vernissage market before returning to your hotel in Yerevan.

Day 10: Yerevan

We will have breakfast at the hotel and then spend the day visiting significant sites in Yerevan. We’ll start with 1.5 hours at the Matenadaran, known for its ancient manuscripts. Following that, a 4-hour city tour will take us to Republic Square, Mashtots Avenue, the Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the Cascade along with a visit to a fruit market.

You’ll have an hour of free time for lunch before a guided visit to the History Museum, rounding out our Yerevan tour. We’ll return to the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 11: Garni and Geghard

After breakfast, we will journey for an hour to the Temple of Garni, where you will spend an hour exploring this unique site. Another hour will be dedicated to the Symphony of Stones monument.

We’ll learn to make "lavash" before breaking for lunch. Following a meal, we will spend 2 hours at Geghard Monastery, known for its stunning architecture.

We’ll head back to Yerevan to drop you off at your hotel.

Day 12: Yerevan

After breakfast, we will take you to the airport for your departure, concluding the 12-day tour of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
