Tour Overview
Day 1
Our adventure begins as we meet at the specified time at the Baku City's Tour Office. From there, we will set out towards the enchanting Sheki. En route, we will pause at Shamakhi to explore the exquisite Juma Mosque, a remarkable temple dating back to the 8th century that has seen various restorations over the years.
Continuing our journey, we will make our way to the scenic Lake Nohur, where you can unwind for an hour and take in the beauty of the natural surroundings. Afterwards, we will resume our trip towards Sheki, arriving around 2:30 pm to savor a delightful Azerbaijani meal, the renowned piti.
Once you've reenergized, we'll delve into the rich offerings of this Caucasian city, highlighted by the vibrant Palace of the Kanes, renowned for its stunning tiles and intricate decoration. As the day winds down, we will settle into a traditional Caravanserai, historically significant resting places along the Silk Road, where you will spend the night in this beautiful setting.
Day 2
At 10 am, we will check out from the Caravanserai and head to the nearby village of Kish. Here, you will have the chance to visit an ancient Albanian church from the 12th century as well as one of the region's premier silk factories. Following this visit, we’ll travel back to Baku, stopping in Gabala for a chance to enjoy lunch on your own (not included).
We will then proceed to the capital city of Azerbaijan, where we expect to return to the meeting point by around 8 pm.
