Cañadon de las Ostras and El Sotano Trip

Embark on a journey from Las Grutas to explore the idyllic shores of El Sotano and the amazing marine fossils of Cañadon de las Ostras in Rio Negro. The adventure begins with a meeting in Las Grutas, where we will board an all-terrain truck to Villa de los Pulperos. Here, in the picturesque Argentinean Patagonia, you can witness the capture of the world's smallest octopus.

Continuing along the coast, we will reach Piedras Coloradas beach for a thrilling session of sandboarding on the dunes. The next leg of our journey takes us along the pulperos route to the coast of El Sótano, known for having the highest tidal flow in Argentina. Moving southward, we will visit Cañadón de las Ostras, a site featuring marine fossils dating back over 20 million years.

Concluding our adventure, we will share a farewell toast and indulge in an Argentinean picada with assorted cheeses and creole sausages. This culinary experience serves as a delightful end to our exploration. After regaining our energy, we will return to Las Grutas, completing the trip approximately four hours from the initial departure point.
