Salinas del Gualicho Trip

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up in Las Grutas before heading to Salinas del Gualicho: the second largest depression in Argentina.

Upon arrival at the salt deposits, located 236 feet below sea level and covering an area of 166 square miles, we will learn about the 8000 uses of salt as we explore the vast space.

The tour includes a visit to the industrial area for salt harvesting and packing, and we will observe the salt piles that can total up to 450,000 tons. We will then enjoy a stunning sunset over the Salinas del Gualicho.

During sunset, we will be served a Creole dinner outdoors. The menu comprises chicken with vegetables, bread, wine, mineral water, coffee, and dessert. Following dinner, we will utilize telescopes and other astronomical instruments to observe the stars.

Eventually, we'll return to Las Grutas, arriving between 10 pm and midnight, depending on the time of year.
