Frozen Waterfalls of Johnston Canyon Trip

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Mount Royal Hotel parking lot and then head deep into Banff National Park. In about half an hour, we'll reach the spectacular frozen waterfalls of Johnston Canyon.

After a brief presentation on the route, we'll start the hike along the walkways of Johnston Canyon. The journey will cover a distance of 5.4 kilometers (3.4 miles) with an elevation gain of 135 meters (443 feet). You will see frozen waterfalls, lakes, and ravines, while the guide shares information about the canyon's formation and its fossils.

During the walk, there will be opportunities to take photos of the winter landscapes. To reenergize, we'll enjoy hot chocolate and cookies.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point of our tour and board the minibus to return to the meeting point in Banff after a 4-hour excursion.
