Hola Vida Reserve Day Trip

Venture deep into the heart of the Ecuadorian rainforest on our day trip to the Hola Vida Reserve. You'll be enchanted by the landscapes, fauna and flora found in this part of Ecuador.

Hola Vida Reserve Day Trip

At 9 am, we'll meet on Óscar Efrén Reyes Street in Baños de Agua Santa. We'll hop aboard our comfortable vehicle and set off on the 2-hour drive to the Hola Vida Reserve.

Before arrival, we'll stop at the Animal and Bird Rescue Centre, home to various rescued monkeys, birds and reptiles. After this stop, we will proceed to the Hola Vida Reserve and enter the Ecuadorian rainforest.

Upon arrival, we will see a variety of medicinal and hallucinogenic plants, along with insects such as butterflies, beetles, spiders, giant ants and termites. We will also navigate part of the river in typical small boats.

Next, we'll visit the Puyango community for a lunch of chicken with rice, salad, and vegetable stew.

After lunch, we will hike to the Hola Vida Waterfall located in the rainforest. During the hike, expect to encounter woodpeckers, hyla frogs and snakes including chontas and common lanceheads. At the waterfall, you'll have the opportunity to take a dip in its crystal-clear water.

After an unforgettable day exploring the rainforest, we will return to Baños de Agua Santa at 9 pm.
