Venture deep into the heart of the Ecuadorian rainforest on our day trip to the Hola Vida Reserve. You'll be enchanted by the landscapes, fauna and flora found in this part of Ecuador.
Hola Vida Reserve Day Trip
At 9 am, we'll meet on Óscar Efrén Reyes Street in Baños de Agua Santa. We'll board our comfortable vehicle and set off on the 2-hour drive to the Hola Vida Reserve.
Before our arrival, we'll stop at the Animal and Bird Rescue Centre, home to numerous rescued monkeys, birds and reptiles. Following this, we will continue to the Hola Vida Reserve to explore the Ecuadorian rainforest.
Upon arrival, we'll see a variety of medicinal and hallucinogenic plants, along with various insects such as butterflies, beetles, spiders, giant ants, and termites. Additionally, we will travel along part of the river in typical small boats.
Next, we'll visit the Puyango community for a lunch of chicken with rice, salad, and vegetable stew.
After lunch, we will hike to the Hola Vida Waterfall, nestled in the rainforest. During the hike, you might encounter woodpeckers, hyla frogs, and snakes such as chontas and common lanceheads. At the waterfall, you can take a refreshing dip in its crystal-clear water.
After an unforgettable day exploring the rainforest, we will return to Baños de Agua Santa by 9 pm.
