Our tour will begin at Burgalimar Castle, the Umayyad fortress in Baños de la Encina, Jaén. The guided tour of Baños de la Encina Castle lasts approximately 45 minutes. During this time, we will enter the castle, observing its defensive perimeter while learning about its history and strategic importance in the Guadalquivir valley during the Middle Ages, when Muslims and Christians contended for control. The Battle of Navas de Tolosa occurred nearby in 1212.

In addition to the walled battlements, we will visit the Torre del Homenaje, a watchtower built after the Christian reconquest. The guided tour will conclude with insights into other significant features of the fortress.
