Day Trip to Mosqueiro Island

If you're in Belém, don't miss a visit to Mosqueiro Island, located off the southern bank of the Pará River.

Description

We will pick you up from your hotel in Belém at the specified time for our trip to Mosqueiro Island, situated north of the city. The island features 17 kilometers (10.5 miles) of beaches.

The island's name comes from a technique used by indigenous people for preserving game and fish. To reach the island, we will cross the Sebastião R. de Oliveira Bridge, a 1,485-meter (almost a mile long) bridge.

Upon arrival, we will visit Praça Matriz to try a traditional tapioca. We will then explore the village of Mosqueiro, including a visit to the Matriz Church and discussing the island's history.

After this, you will have free time at the beach for lunch and to enjoy the scenery at your own pace.

Finally, after approximately seven hours of exploration, we will return you to your Belém hotel.
