L'Aquàrium de Barcelona offers a family-friendly experience with over 11,000 animals from more than 450 species. It features an 80-metre (260-foot) long transparent underwater tunnel, allowing visitors to view marine life from the Mediterranean Sea. The Aquarium holds 5 million litres of water and includes species such as bream, moray eels, moonfish, bull sharks, and sandbar sharks. Visitors can explore Mediterranean aquariums with 14 dedicated spaces showcasing distinct types of marine life, as well as vibrant tropical aquariums that recreate protected Spanish coastal areas like the Ebro Delta and the Medes Islands. The Aquarium also features themed exhibits focused on underwater flora and fauna, along with a tropical river area for children's activities and exhibitions of shellfish and molluscs.

Opening Times

Barcelona Aquarium has the following opening times:

From March 29 to June 30: open daily from 10 am to 8 pmFrom July 1 to September 7: open daily from 10 am to 9 pmFrom September 8 to November 2: open daily from 10 am to 8 pm

Final admission is an hour before closing. During the Christmas schedule, from December 21 to January 8, the aquarium will close at 8 pm with final admission at 7 pm.
