Embark on a full-day trip from Barcelona to two significant cities in Catalonia, including the Dali Museum in Figueres, Salvador Dalí's birthplace.
Girona, Figueres & Dali Museum Day Trip
Meet your guide at Barcelona's Estación del Norte and board a spacious air-conditioned coach to Gerona, located in northeastern Catalonia.
Upon arrival, follow your guide through the picturesque Old Town (Barri Vell) and discover its Jewish Quarter, one of the best preserved in Europe. Significant sites include the Basilica of Sant Feliú, the Cathedral, and the Pont de les Peixateries Velles. Afterward, visit the Sant Martí church or the Plaça de la Independència.
After exploring main landmarks, you will have one hour of free time to enjoy local cuisine at a nearby restaurant.
After lunch, travel to Figueres, home of the Dali Museum, created from the city’s ruined Municipal Theatre, transformed by Dalí himself. This museum houses the artist’s largest collection of works, including paintings, drawings, and sculptures. Highlights include the sculpted eggs on the rooftop and the permanent exhibition "Dalí-Jewels," featuring 39 gold and precious stone pieces.
This day trip concludes after approximately 9 hours, returning to the starting point.
