Barichara Guided Tour

Our guided tour of Barichara highlights significant sites such as the Cathedral, Salto del Mico, the Santa Barbara church, and the traditional streets of the city.

Description

At your selected time, we will meet at the main park in Barichara to begin the walking tour, focusing on the town's iconic sites.

The tour starts with a walk along Calle Real, where we will visit a traditional sweets shop. Next, we will proceed to the Santa Barbara church, recognized as the town's first chapel.

Moving to the higher area of Barichara, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the historic center, highlighting the Cathedral, which dates back to the 18th century.

Next, we will visit Barichara's cemetery, known for its unique tomb designs and local legends. Additionally, we will explore an art workshop to learn about traditional artistic techniques.

The tour includes a visit to the Salto del Mico viewpoint, followed by a break for coffee as we head back to the main park in Barichara. We will also visit two craft stores to engage with local art.

After two and a half hours, our guided tour of Barichara will conclude at the starting point.
