Hiking Tour: Camino Real to Guane

Experience awe-inspiring landscapes and rich history as we embark on a hiking adventure along the Camino Real toward the town of Guane.

Description

We'll meet at the selected time at Barichara's main park before heading to the entrance of Móncora Biopark, where our Camino Real hiking journey begins.

The trek covers an 8-kilometer (5-mile) downhill path to the historic town of Guane. You'll observe native trees along the Camino Real de Tobares, which served to connect indigenous communities and was later used by Spanish colonists for trade.

At the halfway point, we will visit a pottery workshop to learn about an ancestral technique of the Guane people. After this visit, we will resume our hike, enjoying breathtaking mountain views.

After a 4.5-hour trek, we will end our adventure at Guane's main park. Here, we will take a tuk-tuk back to Barichara.
