Explore the 'Land of the Giants' on this trip to three picturesque lakes of Bariloche: Lago Gutierrez, Lago Guillelmo, and Lago Mascardi.

Bariloche 3 Lakes Trip

Pickup from your hotel in Bariloche occurs at the designated time, before heading south along the Ruta Nacional 40 Highway. After approximately 40 minutes of driving, we will reach Lake Guillelmo. This glacial lake is ideal for exploring its shores and the nearby Lake Mascardi while observing various animal species. We will discuss the forest’s toponymy and origins.

Continuing along an arm of Lake Mascardi, we will arrive at a significant landmark in Argentine Patagonia. This natural area, named after friar Nicolas Mascardi, is one of the most beautiful water bodies in province Río Negro.

Our next stop is Lake Gutiérrez, a popular summer destination encompassed by over 1600 hectares of 'coihue' beech forest. Here, an easy walk suitable for all ages will take place.

After approximately 5 hours, we will return to your hotel in Bariloche.

Why Choose This Trip?

This day trip offers an unconventional experience to explore lesser-known lakes in the region, providing insights into Patagonia's history and origins.
