No visit to Bariloche would be complete without discovering the Nahuel Huapi National Park and a hike to the summit of Bella Vista mountain. This four and a half hour route takes in views of the Bosque Andino Patagónico forest.
Bella Vista Mountain Trek
We will collect you from your accommodation before heading to the Nahuel Huapi National Park, a natural wilderness area of almost 2 million acres covering the provinces of Neuquen and Rio Negro.
Upon arrival in the park, we will park at Tambo Baez, the furthest point accessible by vehicle. From there, we will set off on foot along a track leading to Bella Vista mountain.
Over the course of four and a half hours, we will traverse one of the significant natural wildernesses in Argentina, walking through a forest of coihue trees. The landscape will gradually change to a high alpine environment.
The route extends a total of 8 km (5 mi), ascending to 1,645 m (5,400 feet) at the summit of Bella Vista mountain. From the top, enjoy views of Cathedral, Goye, Tres Reyes, and Tronador peaks, and take a break to admire Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes while enjoying a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and a cereal bar.
The trip concludes back in Bariloche after 8 hours.
